What Your Kubota RTV-XG850 Sidekick Add-Ons Say About You

Feb 9, 2021

Whether you’re a farmer looking to quickly get from one end of your property to the next or a seasoned outdoor sporting enthusiast making your way through the backcountry, the Kubota RTV-XG850 Sidekick will get you where you need to go quickly in comfort and style. And, with an almost infinite combination of attachments and accessories, the Sidekick can serve almost any need of any owner.

“The completely customizable Kubota Sidekick blurs the line between work and fun. It’s our fastest, most capable gas-powered side-by-side utility vehicle yet,” says Chris Box, Kubota Product Marketing Director.

No matter what accessory combinations you choose, the Kubota Sidekick comes standard with a powerful 48 HP gasoline engine with speeds up to 40 mph, a 1,000-lbs. cargo bed capacity (600-lbs. for California models), and up to 2,000 lbs. of towing power to get you and your equipment where it needs to go safely.

Here is a look at some of the popular options and attachments available for the Sidekick and how those options will make your Kubota either a worksite workhorse, a weekend warrior’s dream machine, or a custom ride somewhere in between.

While a classic Kubota Orange Sidekick is a great way to show your Kubota pride, the Sidekick is available in several color options to suit any owner or application. Looking for a sleek, low profile Sidekick, opt for the black Special Edition. A dark green Sidekick will look great on any worksite or farm operation, while a camo Sidekick is perfect for weekend warriors, hunters and backcountry explorers.

Who says UTVs can’t be comfortable AND rugged? A Sidekick equipped with a premium roof, full doors and windshield will keep the elements out as you’re cruising along your property or getting to and from your tree stand. Don’t need all the protection of a fully-enclosed cab? Both the sealed sport roof and poly windshield options will keep wind and debris at bay so you can focus on getting where you need to go.

The Sidekick’s cab can also be outfitted with several other features like headrests, rear panels and even audio equipment.

The Sidekick really shines when the rubber hits the road, or in this case, the dirt. No matter the job, having the appropriate speed and power to get where you’re going is crucial and tires are an important part of that equation. The Sidekick can be outfitted with two different OEM tire options. The Heavy Duty Work Site tire (HDWS) is a great option for a wide variety of surfaces like paved and unpaved roads, farmland, jobsites, and hard packed dirt. The ATV tires are there for those who need a bit more grip in loose dirt, mud, snow and generally rough terrain.

Make your Sidekick truly unique by adding accessories and attachments based on your needs. Using your Sidekick to haul hay bales, earth or tools? Consider an electronic cargo lift or cargo bed extenders. Adding bush and mud guards and an OEM winch can add extra piece of mind when the road takes you far from home. No matter what the need, there are configurations that will match the expectations of any serious UTV owner.
